Oklahoma Man Sentenced to 5 Years for $9.4 Million Crypto Investment Fraud Scheme
Travis Ford, an Oklahoma resident and co-founder/CEO of Wolf Capital Crypto Trading LLC, has been sentenced to 60 months in prison for his role in an investment fraud conspiracy involving nearly $9.4 million.
Ford raised $9.4 million from approximately 2,800 investors, promising daily returns of 1-2%, which equated to about 547% annually, through Wolf Capital's website and social media from January 2023 to August 2023. However, court records revealed that the company misrepresented returns, the funds were diverted to Ford and co-conspirators, and the company itself was losing money.
He pleaded guilty in January 2025 to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. As part of the sentencing, Ford was ordered to pay $1 million in forfeiture and $170,000 in restitution. Ford admitted in his guilty plea that he did not believe the promised returns were achievable.
