Polymarket User Bet $3,150 on D4vd as Most Googled Person of 2025 and Won Over $125,000
A Polymarket user known as Betwick placed a $3,150 wager betting YES on D4vd becoming the most Googled person of 2025. After Google released its annual list last week, confirming D4vd as the top search subject, Betwick received a payout of approximately $125,235, resulting in a 3,872% profit from the single prediction.
Initially, Pope Leo XIV led the odds with 51.5%, followed by Donald Trump at 9.5% and D4vd at 7.2%. By late November, D4vd’s odds had dropped significantly to 0.2% before the final announcement.
D4vd's surge in Google searches was closely tied to a high-profile controversy involving a 15-year-old named Celeste Rivas, who was found dead in a Tesla registered to D4vd’s name. Rivas was last seen in April 2024, and the Los Angeles Police Department later identified D4vd as a suspect in the investigation.
Beyond the controversy, D4vd is a musician whose track "Romantic Homicide" has accumulated 1.77 billion streams on Spotify. His performances have included provocative elements such as wearing bloodied clothes and bringing a casket on stage, contributing further to public interest.
Polymarket, described as the largest prediction market platform, holds significant user preference, with 69% of Myriad's perpetual sentiment market users favoring it over competitor Kalshi.
