Revolut has partnered with Polygon to enable cryptocurrency remittances and stablecoin payments via the Revolut app for users in the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA). The integration began in December and since then, Polygon-enabled Revolut trading volumes have exceeded $690 million to date.

Users can remit funds using USDC and USDT stablecoins and trade POL, Polygon's native token, on the Revolut platform. Additionally, POL on Revolut Ramp facilitates fiat onboarding to the Polygon network. Polygon emphasizes this integration as a demonstration of real-world utility by embedding blockchain payments into traditional fintech solutions, highlighting speed and cost efficiency.

Revolut serves over 65 million customers across 160 supported regions. Crypto trading has been available on Revolut since 2017, although access in the United States was restricted in 2023 due to regulatory uncertainty. Last month, Revolut secured a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license in Cyprus, which may position it to launch its own stablecoin in the future.

According to DefiLlama, Polygon hosts more than $3.2 billion in stablecoins, representing about 1% of the total stablecoin market capitalization.
