Ripple and XRP Reach New Heights in 2025 Amid Regulatory Resolution and Strategic Expansion
In August 2025, the longstanding Ripple-SEC legal saga concluded with a negotiated resolution and all appeals dropped, cementing the 2023 ruling as a legal precedent. This resolution paved the way for significant growth and clarity in Ripple's operations.
XRP reached an all-time high of $3.65 in 2025, briefly ranking among the top three cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. However, by December 15, trading had settled near $1.90, about 48% below the July peak.
The launch of RLUSD in December 2024 saw it achieve a $1.3 billion market cap in 2025.
