Rob Cross, Gary Anderson, and Ryan Searle Progress to the Last 16 at the PDC World Darts Championship
Rob Cross secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Damon Heta to reach the last 16 of the PDC World Championship, where he will face reigning world champion Luke Littler. Cross dropped only one set in the tournament, averaged 94.11, and converted 46% of his checkouts, compared to Heta's 31.6% conversion rate on doubles.
Gary Anderson edged past Jermaine Wattimena 4-3 in a nail-biting deciding set to also reach the last 16. Wattimena saved four match darts, while Anderson missed double 12 for a potential nine-dart finish in the decider. Anderson hit 14 maximums during the match and finished with an impressive average of 102.24, following an even higher average of 105.41 in his previous round against Connor Scutt.
Ryan Searle defeated Martin Schindler 4-0, achieving nine consecutive leg wins, averaging 102.29, and remaining unbeaten without dropping a set in the tournament thus far.
