Rob Reiner and Wife Michele Singer Reiner Found Dead in Brentwood Home
Rob Reiner, the 78-year-old acclaimed director known for films such as Stand By Me, The Princess Bride, and When Harry Met Sally..., and his wife Michele Singer Reiner, age 68, were found dead at their home in Brentwood, Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon. The Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery Homicide Division is investigating the deaths as an apparent homicide. Though no official cause of death has been released, reports from TMZ and People indicate that the victims sustained wounds consistent with a knife attack. A family spokesperson confirmed the couple's deaths Sunday evening and requested privacy. The couple had been married since 1989 and had three children: Jake, Nick, and Romy. Rob Reiner is also the adoptive father of actor Tracy Reiner. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a medical aid call at the scene on Sunday afternoon.
