Samson Nacua and Trey Rose Arrested in Los Angeles Over Lakers Forward Adou Thiero’s BMW Case
Samson Nacua and Trey Rose were arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of unlawfully taking a newer-model BMW owned by Los Angeles Lakers forward Adou Thiero. The vehicle was tracked to the One Hotel on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, where it had been valet-checked in and entered. Investigators obtained a security footage-based identification confirming their involvement.
Both men were released the same night under California Penal Code 849(b) due to insufficient grounds to file a formal complaint, but the investigation remains ongoing. It is still unclear where or when the BMW was initially taken.
Samson Nacua, brother of Puka Nacua, has a background playing college football at Utah and BYU and spent time in the United Football League with the Michigan Panthers. Earlier this year, he was suspended for one game by the UFL following an altercation with a fan. This incident occurred during a week when his brother Puka Nacua drew attention for livestream comments criticizing NFL referees.
The arrests were reported by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, with NBC4 LA first breaking the news.
