Sebastian Telfair Recounts Jail Stint Alongside Sean 'Diddy' Combs
Sebastian Telfair, a 2004 first-round NBA pick and former Phoenix Suns guard, was jailed for a probation violation related to his 2023 health care fraud case but has since been released. During his time at the federal prison in Fort Dix, New Jersey, Telfair served alongside Sean 'Diddy' Combs. Combs was convicted in October on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution, acquitted on more serious charges, and sentenced to 50 months. Telfair noted that Combs maintains a positive outlook while serving his sentence.
Telfair's legal issues also include a 2019 conviction for second-degree criminal possession of a weapon from a 2017 arrest. In October 2021, he was among 18 former NBA players charged with defrauding the league's health care and welfare benefits plan. Recently, Telfair has shifted his focus to Ice Cube’s Big3 league, stating that his contract is signed and that he aims to win the MVP award.
