Sling Money Gains FCA Approval to Offer Crypto Services in UK Amid Stablecoin Payment Growth
On December 24, 2025, Avian Labs, the developer of Sling Money, received approval from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to operate as a crypto services provider in the UK. Sling Money facilitates fund transfers on the Solana blockchain and supports stablecoins USDP (Paxos) and EURC (Circle). Users can link their bank accounts to the app and hold funds there.
Sling Money offers instant local currency withdrawals in 80 countries through partnerships with regulated local providers. It is already regulated as a Money Services Business by the U.S. Treasury and secured a MiCA license from the Dutch regulator in April 2025, enabling access to 30 EU/EEA nations.
This UK approval broadens Sling Money's European presence amid rising adoption of stablecoin-based transfers for cross-border payment solutions. However, the UK service is currently available only as a closed beta.
Sling Money's expansion into the UK follows a wider trend of cryptocurrency payment firms obtaining official regulatory endorsements in major markets.
