Sling Money Receives Approval to Offer Crypto Services in UK as Stablecoin Payments Gain Popularity
On December 24, 2025, Avian Labs, the developer of Sling Money, received approval from the UK Financial Conduct Authority to operate as a crypto services provider. Sling Money facilitates transfers on the Solana blockchain and utilizes stablecoins including Paxos' USDP and Circle's EURC. Users can link their bank accounts to perform transfers. The service enables instant local currency withdrawals across 80 countries through partnerships with regulated local providers.
Sling Money is already regulated in the U.S. as a Money Services Business and secured a MiCA license from the Dutch regulator in April, granting access to 30 EU/EEA countries. The recent UK approval expands Sling Money's reach at a time when regulatory support for stablecoin-based cross-border transfers is growing. The service is currently in closed beta in the UK.
