Stablecoin Adoption and Tokenized Settlement Take Center Stage at Binance Blockchain Week 2025
During Binance Blockchain Week 2025, CryptoNews moderated a panel focused on the evolution of stablecoins and tokenized settlement with speakers Sam Elfarra from Tron DAO, Marcelo Sacomori of Braza Bank, and Daniel Lee from Banking Circle.
Stablecoins are currently the fastest-growing segment of digital assets, with issuance and wallet counts increasing by about 50%. Daily stablecoin trading volumes have reportedly surpassed those of Visa.
Braza Bank has issued BRL- and USD-linked tokens aimed at meeting FX demand and corporate payments, emphasizing the importance of transparent reserves, independent verification, and liquidity. The regulatory clarity in Brazil is accelerating institutional adoption.
Daniel Lee explained the necessity for tokenized real-world assets to have tokenized settlement capable of atomic and near-instant transfers. The EU's e-money token frameworks facilitate regulated, bankruptcy-remote structures, distinguishing between tokenized deposits and bearer stablecoins.
Sam Elfarra highlighted growing momentum for stablecoin adoption in regions including Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, noting that Tron's uptime supports high throughput even during periods of volatility.
The session concluded that stablecoins are becoming the backbone of global value exchange, fundamentally reshaping how money moves, is stored, and how tokenized assets settle.
