Steelers Defeat Dolphins 28-15 in Monday Night Football to Extend Home Win Streak
The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Miami Dolphins 28-15 in a Monday Night Football game, improving their record to 8-6 and securing a second straight win. Pittsburgh extended its impressive home Monday-night win streak to 23 games, a run dating back to 1992.
Aaron Rodgers led the Steelers' offense with 224 passing yards and two touchdowns, completing 23 of 27 passes. His touchdown throws were a 19-yard pass to Marquez Valdes-Scantling and a 28-yard pass to DK Metcalf. Kenneth Gainwell contributed significantly with a total of 126 yards from scrimmage.
On the Miami side, Tua Tagovailoa completed 22 of 28 passes for 254 yards, throwing two late touchdown passes to Darren Waller. However, he also threw his 15th interception of the season, which Asante Samuel Jr. intercepted to end a first-quarter Miami drive. The Dolphins struggled in the third quarter, recording minus-20 yards of total offense, which contributed to ending their four-game winning streak.
Steelers linebacker TJ Watt remains out indefinitely following surgery for a collapsed lung; despite his absence, the Steelers have maintained a 2-0 record in the 13 games they have played without him.
