Tether Launches Privacy-Focused Health App and Expands Into AI and Robotics
Tether has launched QVAC Health, a privacy-focused health application that stores user health data offline and encrypted on personal devices, avoiding the use of commercial servers. The app tracks fitness, nutrition, and biometric data across multiple devices while ensuring all data remains local to the user. QVAC Health is built on Tether's decentralized AI platform, which emphasizes privacy-preserving local intelligence and can run AI agents directly on devices, bypassing centralized cloud infrastructures.
This launch marks Tether's expansion beyond the cryptocurrency sector into decentralized technology, artificial intelligence, and robotics. The company has invested €70 million in Generative Bionics, an Italian firm, as part of a €70 million fundraising round aimed at developing AI-powered humanoid robots, with plans for industrial deployment next year. Additionally, Tether acquired a majority stake in Blackrock Neurotech for $200 million.
Tether is widely known for the $186 billion USDT stablecoin and is now advancing its presence in AI and robotics leveraging its decentralized AI platform QVAC.
