The Guardian Invites Readers to Share Experiences of Training AI to Replace Their Jobs
An IMF analysis indicates that about 40% of jobs globally will be affected by AI. In light of this significant impact, The Guardian is inviting readers who have trained AI systems to replace their current roles to share their experiences for an upcoming feature.
Contributions can be submitted anonymously, with all responses encrypted and accessible only by The Guardian. The provided data will be used solely for this feature and personal information will be deleted once no longer necessary.
The Guardian requests the following details from contributors: name, location, age and background, current role, a description of their experience training the AI replacement, feelings about the future, whether any alternative roles were offered, concerns about the process, as well as optional photo uploads and contact information.
For submissions, readers can use an online form or contact via WhatsApp at +447766780300. Fully anonymous communication is also supported through Secure Messaging. Contributors are reminded to obtain permission if including other people’s names.
This initiative comes from The Guardian community team and is published under the topics of AI and work & careers on December 31, 2025.
