Three Women Stabbed in Paris Metro Stations on 26 December 2025
On 26 December 2025, around 16:00 local time, three women were stabbed at three different Paris Metro stations: Republique, Arts et Metiers, and Opera.
The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, including wounds to their backs and thighs. A witness reported that two women were injured on their backs and thighs, and one woman had a thigh injury.
A man in his mid-20s is the suspect; he fled the scene but was later arrested at his home. The suspect was previously known to police and was identified through CCTV footage.
The Paris prosecutor's office confirmed that the injuries sustained were not life-threatening. Paris police stated on their X account that the suspect was apprehended thanks to the immediate action of emergency services.
Local media have ruled out the possibility of terrorism in connection to the attacks.
