Tragic Plane Crash Claims NASCAR Driver Greg Biffle and Family
Greg Biffle, a former NASCAR driver, along with his wife Cristina and their children Ryder (5) and Emma (14), were killed in a plane crash near Statesville Regional Airport. The aircraft was attempting an emergency landing about 10 minutes after takeoff when it went down.
Three other individuals on board the plane included Dennis Dutton, his son Jack, and Craig Wadsworth. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Mark Martin, a former NASCAR teammate of Biffle's, expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy, stating that the incident is increasingly disturbing to him. Martin and Biffle raced together from 2002 to 2009 at Roush Racing. As a long-time pilot with approximately 3,000 flight hours and training from FlightSafety International, Martin noted that his knowledge of the aircraft made the crash even more unsettling.
Additionally, Rep. Richard Hudson confirmed on X that Biffle and his family were on board the ill-fated flight, referencing a report linked to The Will Cain Show.
