Tribute paid to Durham boy who died after farm vehicle overturned
Aaron Anderson, a 14-year-old boy from Consett, died after a farm vehicle overturned at a farm in Burnopfield, County Durham, on the evening of 21 December.
He was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle but died on Boxing Day.
Aaron was remembered by his family as a cheeky chappie with an amazing work ethic who had two apprenticeship offers.
In the same incident, a 13-year-old boy sustained serious injuries and is now recovering at home.
The vehicle involved was a John Deere Gator, an off-road utility vehicle commonly used on farms.
Police were called to the scene at 8:25pm and are investigating the circumstances of the accident, seeking information from anyone who can assist.
Aaron's family expressed their gratitude towards the ambulance staff, police, Royal Victoria Infirmary staff, and charities for their support during this difficult time.
