Trump Media to Merge with Nuclear Fusion Firm TAE Technologies in $6 Billion All-Stock Deal
Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT) announced on December 18, 2025, that it will merge with nuclear fusion company TAE Technologies in an all-stock deal valued at over $6 billion. This merger will shift Trump Media from a social media operator into a clean energy and financial assets company.
Following the announcement, Trump Media's stock rose about 25% in early trading, although it remains down for the year.
Trump Media currently holds 11,542 BTC on its balance sheet, worth approximately $1.02 billion at current prices. In addition, the company has expanded its cryptocurrency offerings, including a partnership with Crypto.com to launch the Truth.Fi fintech unit and crypto-linked ETFs tied to Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Ripple (XRP), and Crypto.com Coin (CRO).
In September 2025, Trump Media invested $105 million in CRO as part of its partnership with Crypto.com.
