Undefeated Boxing Star Terence Crawford Announces Retirement
Terence Crawford, the undefeated boxing star from Nebraska, has announced his retirement at the age of 38. With a professional record of 42-0, including 31 knockouts, Crawford declared his decision via a social-media video, stating he is stepping away from the sport on his own terms after winning a different type of battle.
In his last fight in September 2025, Crawford defeated Canelo Álvarez by unanimous decision in Las Vegas to claim the undisputed WBA, IBF, and WBO super middleweight titles. However, earlier that December, he was stripped of the WBC super middleweight belt due to disputes over sanctioning fees. He retired as the reigning WBA, IBF, and WBO super middleweight champion.
Crawford began his professional career in 2008 and won his first world title, the WBO lightweight crown, in 2014 against Ricky Burns. Throughout his career, he secured 18 world titles across five weight classes and retired without a single defeat.
