Uniform Labs has launched Multiliquid, an institutional liquidity layer designed for tokenised financial markets. This protocol enables instant conversion between stablecoins and tokenised assets, enhancing liquidity for a range of real-world assets (RWAs) and stablecoins.

Multiliquid is currently live on the Ethereum Mainnet, supporting a leading selection of RWAs and stablecoins including USDC and USDT. Deployment on the Solana blockchain is planned. The protocol also supports tokenised Treasuries issued or managed by Wellington Management.

The platform allows atomic transactions to swap between stablecoins and tokenised money market funds or RWAs on a 24/7 basis, effectively eliminating redemption delays and addressing illiquidity issues commonly seen in tokenised assets.

Key use cases for Multiliquid include automated stablecoin sweeps, on-chain repurchase agreements (repos), instant redemptions of RWAs, on-chain treasury management, and collateral optimization for exchanges.

Uniform Labs was founded by experienced executives from Standard Chartered, UniCredit, and Allica Bank. CEO Will Beeson highlights that the tokenisation thesis requires robust liquidity, noting that many RWAs currently lack secondary liquidity.

Industry voices support the protocol's relevance. Mark Garabedian from Wellington Management believes tokenisation is most effective when integrated with existing liquidity workflows. Angelo D’Alessandro, COO of Wellington Management, states that Multiliquid creates new pipelines enabling internet-speed finance.

The tokenised RWA market has grown to more than $35 billion, with stablecoins serving as critical payment rails. Multiliquid connects these and offers new yield opportunities through tokenised RWAs.
