West Ham Prepare £40m Bid for Wolves Striker Jørgen Strand Larsen
West Ham have identified Jørgen Strand Larsen as a priority target for the January transfer window. The club is preparing an opening bid for the Wolves striker, who is valued at about £40 million. Strand Larsen, who joined Wolves from Celta Vigo in 2024, has scored three goals this season for a side currently bottom of the Premier League. Last season, he netted 14 goals, attracting interest from clubs including Newcastle during the summer.
Nuno Espírito Santo is leading West Ham's recruitment efforts, focusing on reinforcing the attack, with Strand Larsen as his preferred target. The Hammers currently lack a natural forward option; Callum Wilson is cited as their only natural striker, with other attackers like Jarrod Bowen and Isaiah Summerville being used out of their preferred positions. Niclas Füllkrug's loan move to Milan is also being arranged, which may lead West Ham to rely on other options during the transfer period.
West Ham are also considering alternatives to Strand Larsen, including Ellis Simms from Coventry, Haji Wright, and Rafiu Durosinmi of Viktoria Plzen. However, the club prefers players with experience in English football to strengthen their squad during this challenging season.
