Woman dies after being swept into ocean from Sydney beach on New Year's Day

A 25-year-old woman was knocked into a tidal rock pool by a wave at Maroubra Beach, Sydney, around 4am on New Year’s Day and swept out to sea. The body was found around 5am and police believe it is the missing woman, with formal identification still pending.
