Manchester City secured a commanding 5-1 victory over Aston Villa. Khadija Shaw was the standout player, scoring four goals and bringing her total to 103 goals in all competitions across 120 appearances for City. Shaw scored twice in the first half. Teammates Aoba Fujino and Vivianne Miedema also contributed goals. Villa’s Lucy Parker scored their lone goal. Shaw completed her hat-trick in the 84th minute and added a fourth by deflecting in Grace Clinton's effort. This win extended Manchester City's WSL lead to six points over Chelsea.
Chelsea defeated Brighton 3-0, with Sandy Baltimore opening the scoring. Caitlin Hayes scored an own goal and Alyssa Thompson finished the scoring to secure the victory for Chelsea.
Liverpool and West Ham played to a 2-2 draw. Beata Olsson scored a late equalizer for West Ham, following Mia Enderby’s earlier equalizer for her team. Liverpool’s Anna Csiki scored their other goal. The match included a significant moment when Liverpool’s Gemma Bonner was sent off.
Leicester City edged London City Lionesses 1-0. Janina Leitzig preserved the win with a crucial save from Kosovare Asllani’s stoppage-time penalty. Shannon O’Brien had given London City the lead before Leicester secured the win. As a result, Leicester moved above Everton into ninth place ahead of the winter break.
