WSL Roundup: Khadija Shaw Scores Four as Manchester City Beat Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester Also Feature

Manchester City secured a commanding 5-1 victory over Aston Villa. Khadija Shaw was the standout player, scoring four goals and bringing her total to 103 goals in all competitions across 120 appearances for City. Shaw scored twice in the first half. Teammates Aoba Fujino and Vivianne Miedema also contributed goals. Villa’s Lucy Parker scored their lone goal. Leicester City edged London City Lionesses 1-0. Janina Leitzig preserved the win with a crucial save from Kosovare Asllani’s stoppage-time penalty. Shannon O’Brien had given London City the lead before Leicester secured the win. As a result, Leicester moved above Everton into ninth place ahead of the winter break.
